Water Spouts

Posted by
PShorten (West Chester, United States) on 2 April 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

I thought "wind" week might be really difficult but I've found many fun photos in my archives.

Three water spouts formed just off the deck of a beach house we were staying in a few years ago. Linda, do you remember?? It was neat and scary all at the same time. It was about 9am, Linda and I had run out to the grocery store and noticed a weird cloud on our way home. When we realized what it was, we ran through the house waking the kids up and talking them into going up on the deck to see this phenomenon. The guys were out on thier bikes and missed all the excitement...

My only regret is that I didn't shoot the pics in RAW format! I shoot everything in RAW these days.

How about that, I live in West Chester too..... only on the other side of the pond. Excellent capture of the spout, it looks pretty menacing.
