F is for Flatiron

This is a flatiron building. We actually have two in our town, right across the intersection from each other...

I couldn't find any information about these two buildings online, wikipedia goes so far as to suggest the only real flatiron building is the famous one in NYC. Well, the nerve! I know these are flatiron buildings because the other building houses a laundry mat called "The Flatiron Laundry", go ahead, dispute that fact...

ha! I do wonder - is there something to the shape/construction - do they use flat iron? Must be! good find!

Hi Pat,

My friend lived in a town home in that building. She told me it used to be a bakery way back when. It's a pretty cool building inside.
